First, I would like to thank you all very much for coming to Emersyn's fundraising page and taking the time to read this.
Emersyn, or Emme as we call her, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder that is classified as an autism spectrum disorder.
Emme is so much more than her diagnosis. She a blessing to our family and she brings us all so much joy with her infectious smile and the most adorable little giggle you will ever hear. She is my sweet, loving, VERY independent little niece, who I love more than anything in this world. She loves eating, bath time, being outdoors, watching Blue's clue and especially loves spending time with me, her uncle.
Don't tell her Grammy, but I'm her favorite! ;)
For a while now I have been researching biking options for special needs children because I wanted to find a way that I could help her enjoy the outdoors and fresh air like I do. I couldn't believe it when I found the Duet bike. It was exactly what Emme's needs, but I saw the price and felt defeated. There was no way I would be able to afford this bike!! That's when I was talking to a good friend about it who sent me the link to a website where I found this amazing organization that does bike giveaways for special needs children, and the Duet was one of the bikes listed!!
Getting this adaptive bike will give Emme the opportunity to get outdoors for fun adventures, creating more bonding experiences with family in a whole new way.

This cause is very dear to me, and I'll appreciate all the support I can get! Together we can make a difference!
