Eliza has a gene mutation that has cerebral-palsy like symptoms that impact her balance and muscles. She is also autistic with severe intellectual disability, which all keeps her from being able to ride a normal bike. I posted a litte more detail on the page. We have been looking into purchasing a special needs adaptive bike for her for the last few years, and found this awesome organization. She may be able to win one via votes or a drawing, or if not via fundraising. The costs of these bikes is astonomical, and even if we have to pay ourselves, the discount that this organization secures on bikes is also a help compared to purchasing it retail.
Please share! Thankyou!

I don't know how to edit the initial blurb! For the last few years, Eliza and i have been using a similar tandem bike setup and she LOVES it, however the foot pedals and seat wasn't conducive to her pedaling on her own. She is able to pedal on similar bikes at therapy, and we have been wanting to get another bike. We figure the tandem will allow us the ability to go further and hopefully with her siblings. This also will give her a method of exercise as she needs it! She is recovering from feet tendon surgery currently, which should also hopefully allow her to walk better, longer distances, with more stability. Thankyou for taking the time to read this and vote and/or donate!
