Fundraising for Baileigh M's Freedom Concepts Tandem

Baileigh has been diagnosed with Epilepsy since 16 months, causing mental delays. Although she is 18 years old, her mentality is of a 18-24 month old. She is non-verbal and has low muscle tone. Baileigh has not had the opportunity to ride a bike independently due to her uncontrolled epilepsy. Earning an adaptive bicycle with a harness will keep her safe from falling off and it will allow for her legs to be strapped to the peddles to gain strength. She has always loved our bike rides, but with her growth, she no longer fits in a pull-along buggy and getting her an adaptive bicycle can give her the idea of independence and she is riding all by herself. :) Thank you!

Her seizures stop her from sometimes enjoying life, but we dont stop living. Although she's non-verbal. Her presence and smile know how to warm a person's heart.

Ms. BAILEIGH in good spirits going to school today. Every morning when we are getting ready in the mirror, I work on her speech. "I'm pretty". She tries and says "pretty" when looking in the mirror. 🫶

2010 brain surgery

(I will share a little about my girl, who has special needs- she is epileptic, low muscle tone, mentally delayed (mentality of an 18-24 month old) and displays autistic characteristics. She has been epileptic since 16 months old and she recently turned 18. Her epilepsy is uncontrolled and we meet with her neurologist on a 3 month basis. She didn’t walk until she was 2 years old due to low-muscle tone. We have tried several corrective measures to help with her seizures, including brain surgery in 2010, Ketogenic diet in 2011, later changing to a modified Adkins diet, she has tried and failed many epileptic medications and we continue to pray for good health and healing, so she can live a somewhat normal life.)
